I made this spring salad for friends last night and the recipe was requested, so I wanted to share it with all of you:
strawberry salad recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 10 ounces fresh spinach
- 1 quart (or more!!) strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup almonds, walnuts, or pecans - chopped
- feta cheese
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour.
- Put spinach in a large bowl and pour dressing over salad (just enough to coat the spinach . . . you will have a LOT of dressing left over), add the strawberries, nuts, and cheese. Toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!!

Wow what a yummy and springy salad! They have something similar to this at Panera Bread. There is a strawberry festival here soon so I will have to keep this in mind. Thanks for sharing!
